CBCT 3D Scanner: Seeing What Ordinary X-Rays Miss
In complex dental procedures, a 2D X-ray (OPG) is often not enough. It's like looking at a flat photograph of a building—you can see the front, but you can't see the depth or what's behind the walls.
We have invested in an advanced Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scanner. This technology captures a complete 3D image of your teeth, jawbone, nerves, and sinuses in less than a minute.
Why Do We Need 3D Scans?
- Implant Safety: It allows us to measure the exact width and density of your bone, ensuring we place implants perfectly without touching vital nerves.
- Root Canal Precision: It helps us find "hidden canals" or cracks in teeth that normal X-rays miss, preventing treatment failure.
- Impacted Teeth: We can see the exact position of wisdom teeth relative to the nerve, making removal safer.
The Old Way vs. The New Way
- Old Way (2D X-ray): Shows flat images. Doctors often have to "estimate" bone width.
- Our Way (CBCT): Shows 3D views from every angle. We can perform "virtual surgery" on the computer before we even touch your mouth.
Is It Safe?
Yes. Modern Dental CBCT scanners use Pulse Technology, which emits significantly less radiation than a medical CT scan used in hospitals. The scan is open, comfortable, and takes only 10-20 seconds.
